TSA/403 (b) annuities to mutual funds, while still working?
Currently I have a tax-sheltered annuity in my 403 (b). I was not happy with my performance, and I would go into some mutual funds. Can I change the account of the annual investment funds, while I'm still employed, without a penalty? Currently in AXA annuities
You need to contact your human resources department, often provide participants with a range of options for your plan. For example, my mom has a 403 (b) and saw 10 different options of the company approved Account service, some were annuities, but the list also includes mutual fund companies like Putnam and Franklin Templeton. In other cases, the organization chose only one option for participants. If the organization has more than an approved vendor, would then be able to switch to another supplier without a problem, if they do not then unfortunately not be able to transfer the account to another company while still working. I would definitely consult with human resources well.
Annuities VS. Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds
