Variable annuities guarantee a minimum of 6% per year. "
I hav heard and read of the insurance companies issuing variable annuities ensuring a minimum 6% return on their investment, even if markets take a nose dive as they did recently. Of the two insurance companies and plans are: ING Life Plus Pay and Daniel Freedom 6. Are these plans legitimate and, if so, how can they guarantee a minimum of 6% in a declining market?
They can afford to pay a 6% on the savings because your policy to make lots of money on insurance (cost!) part of it. No bank giving money away, ever.
